Let’s be real—that dream of seeing ‘CA’ before your name is a big one. It’s exciting, right? But we also know it can feel like a huge, intimidating mountain to climb. With so much to study and so much competition, you might be wondering, “Where do I even start?”

That’s exactly why we started EkdrishtiCA.

Our name, ‘Ekdrishti’, means having ‘one focused vision’. We truly believe that with the right focus and a little bit of guidance, you can absolutely conquer this journey. And we’re so excited to announce that we’re opening our very first classes for the April 2026 session! This is your chance to get started on the right foot.

So, What Makes Us Different?

So, You Want to Become a CA? Here’s What the Journey Looks Like.

One of the most common questions we hear at EkdrishtiCA is, “Exactly how many exams do I have to pass to become a Chartered Accountant?”

It’s a great question, and the answer is a little more detailed than a single number. Think of it less as a single test and more as a three-part journey, with practical training in between. Let’s break it down into the different stages, starting from the very beginning.

Stage 1: The Foundation This is the first step for most students who are starting their CA journey right after Class 12. The CA Foundation exam is an entry-level test that has a total of four papers. This stage is designed to build your base, covering fundamental subjects like Accounting, Business Laws, Business Mathematics, and Business Economics. You need to clear this level to move on to the next one.

Stage 2: The Intermediate Once you’ve cleared the Foundation exam, you’ll move on to the CA Intermediate level. This is a big step up. The Intermediate exams are divided into two “groups.” You’ll have to clear eight papers, with four papers in each group in total. The subjects get more specialized here, including Corporate and Other Laws, Taxation, Cost and Management Accounting, and Auditing and Assurance. You can select any 1 or even 2 groups together at a time. Clearing both the groups is a major milestone and a huge confidence booster.

Stage 3: The Articleship (Practical Training) This isn’t an exam, but it’s a mandatory and crucial part of the CA course. After clearing at least one group of your Intermediate exams, you’ll begin a period of mandatory practical training known as Articleship. You’ll work under a practicing Chartered Accountant for a period of two years. This is where you get hands-on experience and truly learn how to apply the knowledge you’ve gained in the classroom. This training is a non-negotiable step before you can sit for the final exams.

Stage 4: The Final Exam This is the ultimate test. After completing your articleship, you become eligible to sit for the CA Final exams. Like the Intermediate level, the Final exams are also divided into two groups with a total of six papers. These papers cover advanced topics and are the last hurdle you have to clear before you can officially call yourself a Chartered Accountant.

So, you have to clear a total of 18 papers. It might sound like a lot, but remember, you’re not doing it all at once. The journey is broken down into manageable stages, and with each stage you clear, you get closer to your goal. At EkdrishtiCA, our mission is to guide you through each of these stages. We’ll be with you from the very first step of CA Foundation, all the way to the final exams, helping you build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed. The path to becoming a CA is a challenging one, but with the right guidance, it is absolutely achievable.
